Diet: Native and exotic vegetation including pine tree seedlings.
Habitat: Thick undergrowth forests, woodlands and heaths.
Breeding: Breeding may occur throughout the year when ever conditions suit. Gestation period is 33 - 38 days. The young remain with the female for about 8 months.
