Square-tailed Kite Spotted Bowerbird
Scientific name: Circus assimilis

Size: 50 - 60cm

Status: Common

Diet: All prey is caught on the ground and feeds on insects, rodents, ground birds and reptiles.

Habitat: Most common in open grasslands and agriculture areas.

Breeding: Breeds July to October and uses a flat nest sticks in the crown of a tree. The Spotted Harrier lays two to four eggs.
